A man has been arrested and questioned by detectives investigating a firebomb attack on a York family.
Richard and Angela Grimbley and their two sons, John and Chris, were left badly shocked after a device, thought to be a bottle containing paraffin, was hurled at the front door of their home in Ryecroft, Strensall, in the early hours of Monday, April 2.
The family believed the arson attack was linked to an incident in York Road, Strensall, just hours before, when the couple were threatened and followed by two rowdy youths they passed in the street.
The 19-year-old local man who was arrested has been released on bail while police continue the investigation.
