York Rugby Union Club's Under-13s lifted the Plate trophy at the Houghton-le-Sprint Junior Rugby Festival.
They came a creditable third in the league stage of the event, winning one match and narrowly losing two others.
They were beaten 5-3 by Westow, Alex Rogers scoring a penalty for York, before storming back to beat Morpeth 33-0.
York's five tries were scored by Oliver Bevis, Nathan Forrest, Tom Bewick, Tom Bean and Rogers. Simon White and Rogers both kicked conversions.
In the final match Guisborough just shaded a 12-10 win with a late converted try. Hooker Bewick got both York's tries.
They moved into the Plate semi-final as the best runners-up from the league stage and comfortably accounted for Acklam 26-12. Matthew Turp, Bevis, Bewick and Forrest got the tries, while Rogers (2) and White kicked the conversions.
York overcame a much bigger Durham City side in the final to run out 14-0 winners.
Bewick scored both tries following good work by Chris Woolley and Turp. Rogers and White tagged on the extras.
