Drax 'A' used home advantage to beat Clifton 'A' 7-2 in men's division one of the York Badminton League.
Phil Sinton and Kevin Davison took both Clifton wins in a good display, but lost out 15-6, 13-15, 7-15 to Scott Anderson and Dennis Bradley. Anderson and Bradley went on to take three Drax points for a return of 98-70.
Selby Jubilee travelled to Clifton 'B' in men's division three and were good value for a 6-3 win. Roy Cannon and Andy Hatfield swung the match in Jubilee's favour with three wins for 104-66. Simon Christian and Ian Macaulay took two Clifton wins, but lost out eight and nine to Cannon and Hatfield.
Riverside scored a surprise 5-4 away win over Rowntree 'A' in mixed division one. Craig Dobson and Kath Watt took two Rowntree wins, but lot out 12-15, 15-3, 6-15 to Ian McKinlay and Trish Fowler. Geoff Oxley and Hilary Seavers won the match for Riverside with a 17-14, 17-16 over Phil Grant and Helen Shepherd.
Huntington 'A' scored the double over Pocklington 'A' with a 5-4 away win in mixed division two. Paul Moisley and Angela Hobman swung the match in the visitors' favour. Geoff Oxley and Hilary Seavers won the match for Riverside with a 17-14, 17-16 over Phil Grant and Helen Shepherd.
Huntington 'A' scored the double over Pocklington 'A' with a 5-4 away win. Paul Moisley and Angela Hobman swung the match in the visitors' favour with three wins, including the matchwinning eighth where they beat Mark Burrows and Sally Howat 8-15, 15-8, 15-8.
York Police proved too strong for Rowntrees 'C' wining 9-0 in mixed division three. Dave Todd and Karen Wedgewood had one of their best series this season, winning all three for a total of 90-34.
Knavesmire 'A' emphasised their top spot in with a 7-2 home win over Clifton 'C'. Ann Hopwood and Andy Limbert topscored for Knavesmire with three wins for a total of 90-47. Daniel Woolfson and Melanie Knowles were the pick of the Clifton pairs, culminating in a six and ten win over Heather Richardson and Mark Hopwood.
RI Tuesday/Thursday 'B' entertained Drax 'D' in mixed four and scored a narrow 5-4 win. Trish Nicoline and Adam Prescott took three Drax wins for 110-70, while Karen Wilkinson and Wasten Siallagon sealed the Institute win with an eight and three win over John Dunnelly and Debra Prickett.
Huntington 'B' made it a good week for the club after a 6-3 away win over Selby 77 'B'. Mike Ross and Lindsay Jewison put in the best Huntington display with three wins for 90-48, including a seven and ten over Chris Shipley and Carol Hearn, who took two Selby wins.
Shepherds avenged an earlier defeat by Selby Jubilee by winning 7-2 at home. Lisa Metcalf and Sean Ogley put in the best home display to take all three wins for a total of 94-57.
Fulfordgate 'A' also turned the tables in mixed five scoring a 5-3 win over Market Weighton to overturn an early season defeat. Matt Hobman and Maureen Medlar took two Fulfordgate wins but lost out 15-9, 8-15, 8-15 to John Warburton and Sue Smith who took two Market Weighton wins.
St Johns visited YUSC 'B' in Mixed Five and put in a great display to score a 5-4 win.
