Pickering Town's assault on the Northern Counties East League division one double hits a crucial hurdle tonight.
The Pikes visit nearby rivals Bridlington Town for the Wilkinson Sword Trophy final first leg (kick off 7.30pm), just four days before they travel for a potentially vital league game at Louth United.
A favourable result tonight would set them up nicely for the home leg a week today, while victory on Saturday would guarantee promotion and boost their title chances.
Boss Jimmy Reid will be without former Notts County midfielder Gary Chapman for both games as he starts a fortnight's ban, but Simon Sturdy returns to the squad after a one-week suspension.
Pickering's title rivals Borrowash beat Pontefract Collieries 1-0 last night to close the gap.
Pickering Town: from Mitchell, Reid, Sturdy, O'Reilly, Thornton, Connor, Wilson, Farthing, Gaughan, Wash, Wood, J Chapman, Zoll, Garnham, Morton, Milner.
