A NEW headquarters in Clifton Moor, part of a £600,000 investment, has allowed a conservatory company literally to take its business and staff numbers beyond the glass ceiling.
Family firm Link Conservatory Roof Systems has been able to break out of its former 6,000 sq ft facility in George Cayley Drive and move into 24,000 sq ft premises about two miles away in Northminster Business Park.
The quadrupling of room means that the firm's maximum production of glass roofs increases from 35 per week to at least 100.
It also means creating three new jobs with three more to come, swelling the workforce to 21.
With the help of a £400,000 Yorkshire Bank loan towards the overall costs the husband, wife and son directorship team, David, Christine and Paul Nellis, have been able to order a floor laid perfectly flat to enable easier construction of conservatory roofs.
David Nellis, who said that the deal with Yorkshire Bank meant that vital expansion could now take place, added: "Altogether, this means we can maintain our high level of growth."
Last year the business boomed with a 95 per cent increase in turnover to £1.4 million. Projections this year show the company topping £2.3 million.
