ANYTIME of day or night you can catch the radio from your hospital bed, as a dedicated channel begins 24-hour broadcasting.
York Hospital Radio entered a new era this weekend as, for the first time in its 37-year history, it offered a round-the-clock programmes.
York MP Hugh Bayley and Lord Mayor Councillor Shan Braund helped launch the new project on Saturday morning.
"This is a very exciting day for us," said chairman Steve Eccles.
"The launch of the new schedule represents a major investment in the latest technology to its full potential by providing programmes for all ages in the District Hospital.
"We believe we are at the forefront of hospital radio anywhere in the country in the way we have created this targeted new schedule."
