John Weymes can get off the mark for the season at Musselburgh with an aptly-named runner.
Sing And Dance is probably what the young Middleham trainer will feel like doing if his eight-year-old hits the heights in the Ben Nevis Handicap over a mile and a half.
It's been tough going for Weymes since he took over the reins from his father Ernie a couple of years ago, but in Sing And Dance he has a pretty useful money-spinner.
Previously successful over this course and distance, Sing And Dance looks sure to be all the better for her recent comeback outing and it is significant that Weymes has booked top apprentice Jamie Mackay to take the mount. A bold bid is anticipated.
Attorney, long overdue a win, can finally break his duck in the Bynack More Maiden Stakes.
Michael Jarvis's three-year-old has finished runner-up in all his four races, including one this season. Opportunity comes knocking for him tomorrow to promote himself to the number one slot under jockey Philip Robinson.
High Sun should not be overlooked in the Ben Macdui Handicap over a mile.
Trained by Peter Monteith, who has such a good record on this course, High Sun finished third in a similar contest here 12 days ago and would have been closer still had he lost his action inside the final furlong, causing his jockey to stop riding after thinking that his mount had broken down.
Happily, there was nothing wrong with High Sun, who deserves the chance to get into the winning groove this time and is awarded the Nap vote.
Alan Berry has made a flying start to the season with his juveniles and The Leather Wedge could be another winner for the Lancaster trainer in the Ben Hope Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
John Carroll's mount is making his debut, but he is sure to have been well schooled by Berry, who, like his father Jack before him, is a very able tutor of young horses.
In the Ben Alder Handicap over five furlongs, Berry can also have a say in the outcome, courtesy of Indian Music, while Kevin Darley and Mark Johnston are fancied to continue their fruitful association with Sophielu in the Cairngorm Maiden Stakes.
At Folkestone, Charming Lotte, a recent winner at Pontefract, can make her journey from Nigel Tinkler's Ryedale stable well worthwhile in the Levy Board Apprentice Handicap.
