THE first game in this year's Rhodes Haulage Interworks rugby league tournament will see York Police Panthers take on Tang Hall Workingmen's Club on Monday, May 14.
Six teams will contest this year's tournament in a group basis, with the two sides that finish top of their respective groups contesting the final on Monday, May 28.
The two sides that finish second in each group will contest the plate final on Sunday, May 27.
Group One consists of the Panthers, Tang Hall WMC and Winning Post, while Group Two comprises Guilford Construction, Castle Howard Ox and Civil Service Old Boys.
The dates for games are:
Monday, May 14 - Panthers v Tang Hall WMC; Friday, May 18 - Civil Service v Castle Howard; Sunday, May 20 - Winning Post v Tang Hall WMC; Tuesday, May 22 - Guilford Construction v Civil Service; Thursday, May 24 - Panthers v Winning Post; Friday, May 25 - Castle Howard v Guilford Construction.
Sunday, May 27 - Plate final; Monday, May 28 - Final.
All games kick off at 6.45pm except the game on Sunday, May 20, which starts at 6pm, and the two finals, which both start at 10.30am.
The competition is again sponsored by Rhodes Haulage and all games will be played at New Earswick Sports Club.
