I WRITE in response to your article regarding the recently filmed episode of BBC's Casualty which draws close parallels to the Selby rail crash (April 18).
I would like to express my utter revulsion at such an insensitive move by the BBC.
Regardless of when the episode is to be screened, the scripting bears too close a relation to reality for the victims and their relatives along with all those involved in the rescue operation.
Broadcasting this episode can only serve to further traumatise and offend those involved and to whet the appetites of those perverse individuals in society who find pleasure in such tragic and horrendous events.
The BBC should show a shred of decency and concern for both the public at large and particularly for those who suffered by axing this episode of the drama series.
