Clifton Ladies scored a much needed 8-1 win over University Staff Club in Ladies division one of the York Badminton League.
Lorraine Ellis and Sandra Robinson top-scored with three wins for 99-52, while Rachel Adamson and Sue Scott picked up the consolation with a 17-14 10-15 15-11 over Karen Wedgwood and Kate Wilson.
York RI men's travelled to Drax 'A' in Men's One and came away with a 6-3 win. Jonathan Main and Craig Liversidge topped the Institutes averages with three straight wins for 90-42.
Millthorpe scored a 9-0 home win over RI Tuesday/Thursday 'B' in Men's Two. Keith Burrows and Roger Martin combined well together to hit the best home return with three straight win for a total of 90-34.
Huntington visited Selby Jubilee in Men's Three and came away with a 5-4 win. This was mainly due to efforts of Mark Tebbutt and Paul Moisley who took three Huntington wins for 99-85, including a 15-13 3-15 15-11 over Roy Cannon and Andy Hatfield.
Riverside scored a 6-3 away win over Selby 77 'A' in Mixed Division One. Gwen Bently and Geoff Oxley took three Riverside wins including a 15-5 13-15 15-0 over Dave Hearn and Alison Dinsdale, who took two wins for the Selby club.
Rowntree 'B' were to strong for RI Tuesday/Thursday 'A', winning 7-2 in Mixed Two. Brenda Drummond and Jef Whittaker hit good home form to score three straight wins for 90-25.
Drax 'C' score 7-2 wins over Tadcaster 86 and Clifton 'C' in Mixed Three. John Prickett and Aileen Graham took maximum in both matches for a two-match return of 204-125.
Huntington 'B' hit good form to register an 8-1 home win over Selby 77 'B' in Mixed Four. Mark Tebbutt and Carolyn Arden took the best home return with three straight wins for 78-26, while Dave and Jenny Barker took the Selby consolation with a 13-10 11-13 13-11 over Mike Ross and Lindsay Jewison.
St John's kept up their wining ways with an 8-1 home win over Knavesmire in Mixed Five. Chris Miller and Lyndsey Spicer kept up their good understanding with three wins for 106-52.
Fulfordgate 'A', making a late push for promotion from Mixed Five scored wins over Middlethorpe 99-0) and York University Staff Club 'B' (5-4) Maureen Medlar and Mat Hobman took six wins from six rubbers for a to match total of 197-33. Dorren Leetham and Janette Colclough took two York University Staff Club wins, but lost out nine and 14 to Medlar and Hobman.
Drax 'E' proved too strong for Terry's in Mixed Six, winning 9-0 at Selby High School. Steph Bevan and Adam Prescott put in the best Drax display with three straight wins for a return of 90-17.
Terry's suffered a further reverse, when they entertained Fulfordgate 'B' and lost 7-2. Pete Twidell and Jill Merrick kept up their 100 per cent record with three Fulfordgate wins for 90-24.
