Freda Metcalfe played a major role for Brigadier in their York John Smith's Ladies League division one win over Bay Horse.
She included two tons for 23 then partnered Julie Bell to a good pairs win as Brigadier marched to a 6-3 victory.
Vaults had their match against Slipper in the bag before the pairs, Jackie Coverdale taking the important fifth game after some good scoring by Diane Armer and Tracy Billingham. Slipper responded by winning all the pairs.
Clifton recorded their first win of the season as Jo Hodges and Ruth Norman were successful in the decider against Cranes, whose Carol Perrett gamed in 24.
Tracey Farmeary and Carole Pipes secured victory for City Arms, who were taken to the wire by Punch who had hit back from a 3-0 scoreline.
Lynn Thompson played well to guide Cygnet to a 7-2 victory against Dringhouses, Carol Brayshaw and Chris Myhill being their only point scorers.
Layerthorpe shot into a 3-0 lead through Sue Turpin, Pat Thomson and Julie Ashton only to be pegged back by Ox, Karen Alton leading the way. The club side went on to victory, winning all the pairs.
Mitre are leading the way in division two, proving too strong for Britannia 'A', whose Maggie Jenkinson and Kath Williams were their only point scorers.
Britannia 'B' fared better, finding finishing easier than Poacher to keep the pressure on the leaders.
Half Moon's Betty Jameson and Paula Birkitt hit the big scores as they shone in the win against Shepherd. Cygnet's captain Angela Powell led from the front as Leeman found them too hot to handle.
Val Long and Carol Robson put Severus on an even keel with Burton WMC at 4-4 and then watched as Linda Davis with Sue Richardson (117) sealed the win.
Slip won all the pairs to beat an under-strength Jubilee 6-3.
Holgate WMC leapt into prime position in division three as they overwhelmed Old Ebor, Lyn Gould gaming in 24 for the club side. Jackie Pearson (133) prevented the whitewash. Shepherds had the foundations laid by Heather Precious and Sue Lacy, then a 23 pairs leg from Pauline Dale and Ann Wood put paid to Tang Hall WMC's challenge.
Queen were 4-0 up before Woolpack responded through Pat Price.
Colleen Cunniff then secured the match for Queen, whose Sharon Rishworth hit the tons.
Julie Maycock rattled in the big scores for Clifton but it was Dot Sellars with Colette Wilson who swayed the match in favour of Leeman 'C'.
Carol Stone (164) and Sue Botterill gave Puss 'n Boots the upper hand against Frog, whose Jean and Toni Smallwood again starred.
