Q: I have been practising yoga on and off for six years and now feel that I would like to take my interest further, perhaps even teach.
Can you tell me how I can find out about courses in my area?
A: Sadie Lant, the North Yorkshire County representative for the British Wheel of Yoga, advises me that there are foundations courses being organised at the moment in Leeds, Darlington, Thirsk and Easingwold.
This 60-hour course is ideal for those who don't want to teach but who wish to further their studies into yoga. Courses will be held weekly or monthly depending on the area. there is also a three-year diploma course which enables the student to become a yoga teacher. This course is usually held one weekend per month and is more in-depth than the foundation course. If you would like to find out more about either of these courses then you can contact Sadie on 01347 848348 or Sara who is North Yorkshire and Humberside regional officer on 01845 537483.
