With the Easter holidays comes the problem of how to occupy the kids
constructively. Communigate has the answer with help just a click away.
If the prospect of your kids being at home during Easter leaves you with feelings of deep trepidation don't panic, help is at hand.
Dringhouses Out of School Club has places available for local primary school children, but you must book through
www.communigate.co.uk/york/dringhousesoutofschoolclub
The club is a non-profit-making organisation run by local parents and play workers. It is based at Dringhouses Primary School, though it is funded independently of the school. The club offers affordable play care both before and after school, as well as during the holidays. Mums and dads with work commitments can now leave their children in a safe and productive environment.
The staff are experienced play workers whose aim is to provide the children with a range of activities that help their social and educational development, and places are available to all children who attend full-time primary education.
Easter - a time for reflection
Back in 1995, the former Archbishop of York, John Habgood, warned that the internet was an endless succession of human opinion that held no abiding truths or principles. Well we are sure he would have made an exception for the York Council of Churches Communigate site at www.communigate.co.uk/york/ycc where sterling work is being done in providing a consultation and communication link between all the churches, Christian groups and activities in and around York.
At the moment the council is in the process of encouraging every church to have its own website linked to the new Communigate network, organised free through the Evening Press.
They support Christian Aid, work among the homeless in York, and issues of peace and justice, and value the links it has with the civic, health and police authorities.
Tonight at 7pm, the YCC has arranged the Good Friday procession from St. Sampson's Square to the Minster where a united service will be held. All are welcome.

Part of the service provided by Communigate are Message Boards that allow visitors to your site to post information and comments that others can then respond to. Pictured right is an example for how easy the Message Board is to use.
