Despite driving rain lashing a bitterly cold Willows fishery most of the 45-strong field enjoyed brisk sport for the Bob.Co Tackle event.
John Cyrowski (Armley Angling) was kept busy at peg 39 on Goldrush Lake. Using maggot over pellet he netted 153 ide for 25lb14oz.
Mick Lodge (Dick Clegg Ossett) was also on Goldrush at peg 43 where he used chopped worm and pellets for a level 23lb of skimmers. Stuart Naylor (Willows) included some fine ide up to 2lb in his 20lb8oz from peg nine on Ridge Pool.
Others: Ray Kaye (Willows) 20-0-0; Dave Ward (Dick Clegg Ossett) 15-14-0; Steve Raper (Normark) 15-6-0.
Rick Johnson (Harehills WMC) topped the 30-pegger at Raker Lakes, Wheldrake with 21lb8oz. Drawn on the fancied end peg 30 on Horseshoe Lake he worked pole and maggot down near and far side margins for a mixed net of small carp and silver fish.
Andy Geldart (Barnsley Juniors) took second spot from peg 14, where he used pole and maggot tight under the far side bushes at 16 metres for his 19lb2oz of carp to a pound.
Others: John Cosgrove (Anglers Corner) 16-5-0, Paul Connelley (Hull Works) 12-11-0, Neil Horne (Armley Angling) 12-7-0; Jamie Wilde (Barnsley Juniors) 10-2-0.
Dave Wright (Armley Angling) scored another Carpvale victory in the 40-peg Abu-backed event. Fishing pole and corn and maggot at peg 11 he switched between a variety of swims for 9 carp and 30-10-0.
At the next peg Paul Clarke (Normark) had the same number of fish but of a smaller stamp finishing adrift on 25-2-0.

With the forthcoming Winter League semi finals at Woodlands entries have been climbing steadily.
Some 62 anglers tackled Partridge and Skylark with the verdict going to in-form Darryl Taylor (MAP Elton) with 41lb4oz. Drawn Skylark 9, he used pole and corn at 12 metres for carp to 6lb.

Saturday's events were split into two contests to accommodate the 100-plus anglers.
John McGarill (MAP Elton) won the 65-pegger on Partridge and Skylark with 32lb4oz Fishing groundbait feeder with corn at Skylark 24 he netted carp to 6lb. Opposite on peg ten was Ron Wilkinson (Newman Scotts), who used bomb and corn for his carp net of 31lb5oz
Others: Alan Scotthorne (Mustad Shimano) 25-5-0; Alan Barker (Miracle Baits) 23-15-0; Tony Leeming (Newman Scotts) 23-14-0; Andy Kinder (Maver Barnsley) 22-9-0.
The 43-peg event on Mallard, Dragonfly and Swallow produced better weights with Gary Jubb winning with 41lb13oz. Pegged on Mallard 19 he pole-fished corn against the corner boards for carp to 8lb.
Others: Martin Lenihan (Lymm AC) 38-4-0; Andy Waistell (MAP Elton) 37-12-0; Darryl Taylor (MAP Elton) 37-2-0; Reg Bagley (Dick Clegg Lifestar) 30-10-0; Howard Cutts (Daiwa Goldthorpe) 28-13-0.
Sunday drew 95 to all five match lakes where a shoal of carp on Skylark provided the week's best weight.
Drawn on peg seven Andy Oldham (Maver Barnsley) plundered the shoal with pole and corn at 11 metres for nearly 50 carp to 4lb for his 62lb1oz Alan Mendines (BAF) took second spot from the next peg with 43lb12oz
Others: John Chapman (Keenest NW) 29-10-0; Bob Rymer (Dam Brighouse Geers) 25-12-0; Dave Clayton (Matchmen Supplies) 23-12-0; Vince O'Conner (Elton Tackle) 21-12-0.
Although weights were down a tight contest ensued at the Oaks, Sessay for the 65-pegger on Maples Lake.
George Webb (Pole Pullers) won the tightest of verdicts from peg 17, where he pole fished maggot and corn tight across for 17lb10oz of small carp. Nudged out was Terry Shaw (Anglers Choice) who used the same tactics on peg 15 for 17lb9oz
