Selby 77 Ladies scored a 6-3 home win over Rowntree mainly due to the efforts of Gayle Bradley and Julie Smyth.
Bradley and Smyth took three wins, including a vital 8-15 15-14 15-11 over Emma Andrew and Joan Emmerson.
Riverside gave St John's ladies a hard match in Ladies Two before going down 4-5 at Heworth Croft. Lucy Smith and Angela Sidgreaves took the vital student teacher maximum for 90-24, including a one and six over Hilary Seavers and Margaret Sinclair, who scored two away wins.
IT Sports surprisingly lost out 2-7 at home to Students 'A' in Men's One. Nick Burton and Russell Binns made the Students' difference with three wins for 93-64, while Mark Hopwood and Phil Dyson took both its points.
Drax 'A' were good value for a 6-3 home win over Students 'A'. Again the Students' paring of Binns and Burton took three wins, including a close 17-14 17-16 over Steve Par and Adam Prescott.
Students 'A' bounced back in their next match to beat a strong Clifton side 5-4. Binns and Burton made it nine wins from nine rubbers for a return of 93-49. Ian Shore and Richard McIntosh took two Clifton wins, but lost nine and nine to Binns and Burton.
Drax 'B' scored a narrow 5-4 home win over RI Tuesday/Thursday 'B' in Men's Two.
John Formby and John Prickett sealed the win with a 13-15 15-10 15-9 over Dave Thompson and Ian Tucket. Colin Brooks and Brian Morley took three Institute wins for 102-69.
Riverside proved too strong for RI Tuesday/Thursday 'B' winning 9-0. John Fowler and Kwai Mo took three straight wins for a return of 90-41.
Selby Jubilee kept up their promotion push in Men's Three with a 7-2 away win over YUSC. Roy Cannon and Andy Hatfield led the way for Jubilee with three straight wins for a total of 92-42.
Drax 'A' sprung the surprise of the season with a 5-4 home win over York RI in Mixed One.
The Institute's first defeat of any of their teams this season was master-minded by Steve Parr and Jos Faulder who took three straight wins for 90-63, including a notable seven and four Paul Turner and Joyce Petch.
Drax 'B' played well to record a 5-4 home win over Pocklington 'A' in Mixed Two. Sue Matchett and Andrew Dunning did the Drax damage with three straight wins for 90-45.
Selby Jubilee 'A', going well in Mixed Four, kept up the pace with an 8-1 away win over Pocklington 'B'. Neil Richardson and Linda Kenning topscored with three wins for 90-18.
Maureen Medlar and Matt Hobman hit three wins for Fulfordgate 'A' as their team beat Selby Jubilee 'B' 6-3 in Mixed Five. Medlar and Hobman returned 99-60, including a 7-15 17-14 15-8 over Pete Lund and Marion Wolforth, who took two Jubilee wins.
