There was little to entertain Scarborough's lowest crowd of the season as the Seadogs drew 1-1 with Telford United in the Nationwide Conference last night.
The first half saw a Paul Ellender shot ricochet to safety off the head of visiting 'keeper Ryan Price, while Telford always looked likely to threaten at set pieces.
They took the lead midway through the second half when Boro failed to clear a corner and Neil Moore headed home.
Before this, Boro's David Pounder had seen a close-range shot strike the post and it was the classy little midfielder who eventually salvaged a point for Neil Thompson's side.
Thompson had made a triple substitution after the Telford goal and one of the new men, Gareth Williams, won a crucial ball in midfield to give Pounder the chance to skip away and plant a low shot past Price.
Too often Boro were too intent on playing football, which was not possible on a pitch so heavy it looked in places like Saturday's Grand National course.
With both Ellender and full-back Paul Atkinson going desperately close to scoring in their own goal in the second half, a draw was the best that Thompson's team could expect.
