Punters are quickly snapping up shares in our racehorse Evening Press.
So if you don't want to miss out on the action you'll need to act soon.
Readers are being given the chance of taking a share in one of trainer Tim Etherington's two-year-olds at Wold House Stables at Norton.
The bay filly will be registered with the Jockey Club with the name 'Evening Press'.
Full details of the horse's pedigree and how to join were published in the Evening Press last Thursday, April 5.
The Evening Press Racing Partnership is being organised by racing promoter Paul Clarkson, who already runs successful partnerships with other regional newspapers, including the Evening Press' Newsquest stable-mate The Northern Echo.
Clarkson said: "There's been a great response so far, but we are limited to 20 shares being offered on a free lease agreement so if you want to join in the fun you'll need to act quickly."
It is possible for a group of people to own one share so office workers, pub regulars and club members could form their own mini-syndicate to purchase a stake in Evening Press.
Each share costs £65 per month (£15 a week) and it is possible to have more than one share. The first payments will be from April 23 and the final payments will be on November 1.
