FOR six months Ryedale escaped without a traffic warden. But now the district's drivers have to contend with Robert Ogier.
The new sheriff in town is certainly keen. When our reporter went to interview him about the challenges of covering his huge, 500-square mile patch, he got a parking ticket for his troubles. Clearly, Mr Ogier is a man who takes his job seriously.
So we wish him a cautious welcome. Keep up the, er, good work, Mr Ogier. Drivers need policing, even if we don't always appreciate the hard work involved.
