Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze behind a York shop today which is believed to have been maliciously ignited.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to the fire in a brick storage building behind the Shop 'n' Save shop in Front Street, Acomb, at 6.51am.
Two crews brought the blaze under control within an hour using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel.
A spokesman said: "There was fire damage to cardboard boxes and pallets and the fire is believed to have been maliciously ignited."
