Maureen Tindall was magnificent as she retained the York White Rose Ladies League singles title.
The Institute ace accomplished this feat with a convincing finals' victory over Sun's Heather Beadnell, but the doubles title evaded her and match partner Dorothy Haines as Lord Collingwood's duo of Donna Dwyer and Yvonne Broadhead took the pairs' title.
In division one, New York's Marion Greenwood hit a superb 117 check-out for 21 darts, ensuing the summer season kicked off in style.
Winter division one champions Sun were again in an uncompromising mood as Heather Beadnell's 22 darter capped their 6-1 demolition of Deramore.
Skipper Carole Coundon recorded a maximum score as newly-promoted Magnet found their feet in the higher ranks to surprise Fulfordgate 4-3, while Post turned the tables on Tap, beating the latter 6-1, Jacqui Featherstone stopping the whitewash.
Chris Horsman clinched the match for Crescent WMC at Clarence WMC, while it was Maureen Tindall (140) who again inspired Institute to a 4-3 victory in a battling Burton WMC side.
King William's Iris Haigh put her team into a surprising 3-1 lead in a division two encounter, but Coach miraculously countered with wins from Jill Clapham, Maggie Adamson, and then June Mallory to secure the come-from behind victory.
Tankard was in a hurry as they wrapped up the win, taking the first four games against Palace. Palace then woke up from their hangover to make the scoreline more respectable.
Catherine Gascogoyne hit 22 darts as Bumper cruised to a convincing 6-1 result at Nags. Newcomers Bay Horse performed well as Angela Forth and Ellen Graham registered wins in the last two games, but this was after Sue Smith (123,100) had already secured the victory for Huntington over the Murton rookie side.
