A 58-year-old man was in intensive care in hospital today after being stabbed in a North Yorkshire town.
A 57-year-old woman was arrested and is helping police with inquiries following the incident in Harrogate yesterday.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "At 12.33pm on Sunday, April 8, police were called to an address in Harrogate following a report that a man was stabbed.
"A 58-year-old man was taken to Harrogate District Hospital where he underwent surgery.
"He is currently in intensive care in a stable condition.
"A 57-year-old woman was arrested for assault and is currently in custody at Harrogate Police Station helping police with inquiries."
