The few Rugby Union fixtures that had been re-arranged to be played on Saturday were blighted by late cry-offs.
The referee ruled that play was impossible at Scarborough, who were due to entertain Dinnington.
York RI's trip to Sheffield Oaks was called off on Thursday, York's home friendly against Pocklington was cancelled by mutual consent. Goole and Selby did not have games.
Soggy underfoot conditions proved to be a great leveller at Cleckheaton where the Yorkshire One champions beat Ripon 27-13, who did not look like a bottom of the table outfit.
They held Cleckheaton to a 10-6 half-time score-line with a try by Adam Ferris and a conversion and two penalties from Scott McCara, the home side finally taking control with two tries in the last quarter.
Winger Geoff Ward scored two and Jason Tozer the third, Graham Steadman adding three conversions and two penalties.
Nestl Rowntree lost 31-8 at home to a Bridlngton XV that dominated the possession.
After being 8-7 ahead from a try by winger Ashley Walters and Ivor Jackson's penalty, Rowntree were 19-8 down at half-time after their skipper Dave Sowray went off with suspected broken ribs.
