The much-improved Osbaldwick side managed a 3-3 draw against Riccall in division one of Leeper Hare York and District League.
Mark Triffitt and Rob Orr put Osbaldwick two up by half-time, but two goals in quick succession from Kevin Kozicki and Lorn Parkin ten minutes after the restart put promotion-chasing Riccall back on level terms only for Triffitt to score his second and restore Osbaldwick's lead.
Paul Hughes salvaged a valuable point for Riccall with an 80th-minute equaliser.
Second-placed Nestle Rowntree helped themselves to six goals at home to Civil Service and increased their opponents' plight in the relegation dogfight.

Bottom-of-the-table Barmby Moor switched their game to Malton Bacon Factory and were rewarded with a point in a 5-5 draw. Barry Shepherdson gave them the lead but they were 3-1 down by half-time.
A second-half fight-back saw them take the lead again with two more goals from Shepherdson and one each by Jim Clark and Phil Goddard. The Factorymen hit back with a last-minute equaliser.
Only goal difference is keeping Fulford out of the relegation places after a 4-1 defeat at home to Thorpe United.
The visitors went three up after 20 minutes but Glen Featherstone managed a consolation goal for Fulford in the second half.
Huby remain on course for promotion from division two after a 2-1 win at home to Heslington.
Jim Frary opened the scoring for Heslington in the first minute but Neil Durrant equalised with his first goal for a long time and Lee Goodwin scored the winner in the 60th minute.
Brothers Nick and Jamie Rank got both goals for Stamford Bridge in a 2-1 win at home to Easingwold in the only other division one game to survive the wet weather.
T&L Selby won 8-2 against Grasshoppers 82 at Wigginton to go three points clear at the top of division three. Ben Coates and Rob Murphy scored for Grasshoppers.
LNER Builders and Marton cum Grafton drew 0-0 in a game which contained plenty of near misses.
Marton hit the bar twice in the second half and the Builders had two goalbound shots cleared off the line.
Wilberfoss upset the form book by winning 2-1 away to third-placed Moor Lane.
Paul Walker opened the scoring for Wilberfoss and Paul Jones levelled the scores before the half-time break. Walker hit the winner for Wilberfoss early in the second half.
Moor Lane suffered an early blow when they had Grant McLean carried off with a suspected broken leg.
Selby RSSC beat Strensall 3-0 with goals from Chris Roberts (2) and Darren Kelly.
