A star cast of footballing talent is preparing for a tough match against the cream of East Yorkshire's constabulary.
Humberside Police at Pocklington have cobbled together a team of sportsmen who specialise in a range of activities including rugby, cricket and football, to play against a team of Leeds United's veteran finest on Sunday. The Leeds Utd line-up includes Peter Lorimer, Eddie Gray, Ian Snodin, Brendan Ormsby, John McClelland, Jimmy Lumsden and Terry Yorath.
Any donations will go to the Candlelighters charity, to improve facilities at the children's leukaemia and cancer unit at St James's Hospital, Leeds.
Kick-off is scheduled for 2pm, at the Henry Thirsk Playing Fields, The Balk, Pocklington.
