I AM researching the history of the Royal Naval Reserve (RNR), which was made up of civilian women who would serve in the Royal Navy in time of war.
All too often television shows the army and airforce's contribution to defending Britain, but forgets the navy.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can provide me with their experiences in the RNR, especially details about any long service awards or mine-sweeping proficiency awards for either the RNR or the Women's Royal Naval Service.
