ANOTHER expanding business, Clive Owen & Company, moves from Clifton Moor on to the Northminster Business Park, York next Tuesday.
The chartered accountants firm, started in October 1994 as a one-man operation by Terry Doyle, now has 13 staff and has outgrown its 1,200 sq ft premises in James Nicolson Link.
Already two more staff have been taken on in anticipation of next Tuesday's move into the two storey Oaktree House which at 4,000 sq ft offers more than triple the existing space.
Mr Doyle, whose business has bought the offices for an undisclosed sum from developers Northminster Properties, foresees employing another ten people there over the next two years - which testifies to his organisation's expertise as advisers on business planning growth, as well as being tax and commercial accounts experts.
In his case buying was a preferred option to renting. "There were bigger premises on offer for lease but with 15 year rental agreements," he says.
The move is well-timed. "We will be in there before the tax returns fall on to people's doormats on April 7," he added.
