THE online gaming world can sometimes be a very unimaginative one. You'll have either the massive multiplayer role-playing games or a heap of first-person shooter fans hogging the bandwidth generally.
So step forward Insane, which nips into the market place at a fair rate of knots. Insane is an online multi-player car racing game. Clamber inside one of a range of off-road vehicles and you'll find yourself bulleting across a splendid range of landscapes, with tracks ranging from desert terrain to the sleepy (and rain-sodden) landscapes of Ireland. It's a really fun little outing in a jalopy and the game holds up admirably when dealing with the bane of online gaming - the lag you get when the connection doesn't hold up to the hoped-for speed. Codemasters, the most imaginative British gaming house, have offered up another gem.
