MY daughters and myself were lucky enough to watch the New Earswick Year 6 version of Cinderella and what a treat it was. My own experience of panto has been marred by the York Theatre Royal pantomime on a number of occasions, but this was exceptional.
The panto was well written, well presented and above all, well delivered by ten and 11 year old children. The ad-libs were funny with plenty of topical comment worthy of an adult cast.
The personalities and talents of the children shone through and every child looked as if they had thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Well done, New Earswick Primary School.
