YOUR headline said: 'Council gives blue shop green light' (Feb 2).
Well that's all right then. If we call the Adult Shop in Gillygate a 'licensed sex shop', we can dictate what colour the owner paints the outside. As long as the paintwork is up to scratch and it looks like the kind of shop where we could sidle in for a ham and salad on wholemeal, then we can ignore any 'unpleasantness' inside.
And we can all feel safe in the knowledge that at least one of our esteemed councillors has 'friends who indulge in sex' - by 'eck, and he 'knows that the Salvation Army Church involves a lot of religious people' - blimey! Reassuring isn't it?
