I SAW Gordon Brown on television telling everyone about the Family Tax Credit, the one he says replaces the Married Man's Tax Allowance. He said that any family earning up to £32,000 can claim up to an extra £440 pounds a year, rising to £520 in the next budget.
I am a married man, have lost the Married Man's Tax Allowance, and I only earn £10,000 for a 44-hour week. Where are my benefits? I get a little housing benefit, not a drop of council tax benefit, and certainly no income support top up!
A General Election is looming in May. Will Labour get my vote? Even with its smart new heart logo it will get nothing but a giant raspberry from me!
