Rachel Adamson and Sue Scott clinched a 5-4 win for University Staff Club against the Students in ladies division one of York Badminton League when they scored a three and eight win over Jo Ladds and Helen Wardman.

Sue Cooper and Ros Ellis scored three wins for the Students.

Lindsay Spicer and Sarah Manser totalled 90-53 in three straight wins to help St John's won 6-3 at home to Market Weighton in ladies division two.

In men's division one, Rowntree won 6-3 at home to Clifton 'A', whose Ian Shore and Richard McIntosh gained all their side's wins and totalled 104-73.

Ian Sinker and Mark Thompson totalled 90-41 in three wins as RI Tuesday/Thursday 'A' won 7-2 at home to Knavesmire in men's division two. Sinker and Thompson scored a 12 and five win over Dave Brogden and Andy Limbert, who gained both Knavesmire's wins.

Phil Brunyard and Julie Smythe had a two-match total of 180-76 when scoring six wins as Drax 'A' beat both Selby 77 'A' and Clifton 'A' 9-0 in mixed division one.

Emma and Steve Andrew scored a two and nil win over Ann Slinger and Dennis Bradley to give Rowntree 'B', the mixed division two leaders, a vital 5-4 victory away win to Drax 'B'. No pairing won three rubbers.

Ian Shore and Gerry Screeton gained three straight Clifton wins for a return of 90-25 as Clifton 'B' won 7-2 at home to Sheriff Hutton in mixed division two.

Jo Wade and Dave Greive scored three wins for a total of 100-63 as Sheriff Hutton gained revenge for an earlier defeat by winning 6-3 at home to Huntington 'A'.

Wade and Greive scored a tough 15-6 10-15 15-12 win over Clive Debenham and Theresa Roberts-Hardy.

Keith Burrows and Ann Casper, gained three straight wins for a total of 78-45 to help Millthorpe 'A' maintain their recent good form with a 5-4 win away to Huntington 'A'.

Two days after winning 9-0 at home to Rowntree 'C' in mixed division three Drax 'C' lost 7-2 away to York Police.

John Formby and Ian Craft were top scroers for Drax against Rowntree with a total of 90-23, and then Pete and Carol Howes led the way for the Police against Drax with three wins for a 90-25 total.

Husband and wife Robert and Linda Dalkinson totalled 90-48 in three straight wins as Easingwold won 6-3 away to York University Staff Club in mixed division three.

Selby Jubilee 'A' beat mixed division four league leaders Shepherd's 6-3 at Brayton High School.

Roy Cannon and Sandra Royle totalled 90-68 in three straight wins for Jubilee, and Neil Richardson and Val Bell totalled 110-79 in three wins.

John Warburton and Sue Smith totalled 90-51 in three straight wins for 90-51 to help Market Weighton win 6-3 at home win to Fulfordgate 'A' in mixed division five.

Warburton and Smith won 13 and five against Maureen Medlar and Matt Hobman, who scored two wins for Fulfordgate.

Terry's gained revenge for an earlier defeat by winning 7-2 at home to Selby Jubilee 'C' in mixed division six.

Judy Wilson and Ian Forman led the way for Terry's with three straight win for 90-26, while Lynn Dawson and Francis Millivosevic scored both Jubilee's wins but lost 11 and six to Wilson and Forman.

Mixed division six leaders Drax 'E' won 5-4 away to Pocklington 'C', whose Tom Rastall and Sally Whilesmith totalled 114-85 in three wins.
