Belly dancer Sherah is to hold a belly-dancing taster session in aid of charity.
The event will take place at Brooklyn Youth Centre, Norton, on Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm.
Annette Egerton, of Heslerton, uses the name Sherah when she is performing.
She was taught belly dancing more than 20 years ago when she visited Turkey with some friends.
"We went long before Turkey became a tourist country. We were staying in a village and because everyone is so poor, belly dancing is used as a form of entertainment," she said.
Annette said that money raised from the taster session would go to Macmillan Cancer Relief.
"It will be a chance for women who have always wanted to try something different to have a go.
"I am a qualified aerobics teacher and belly dancing is excellent exercise and very good for toning muscles."
