NORTH Yorkshire County Council's education and library services scrutiny committee has decided to consider proposed changes to the selection procedure for schools in the Craven and Ripon areas.
It is holding its committee meeting in Harrogate to make it more accessible for people from both areas to speak at the meeting.
The meeting does not replace the public consultation process which will be held when the consultation document has been finalised. That process will involve governors, headteachers and staff of all county council-run schools in Ripon and Skipton, parents of pupils the local MP and other interested parties.
To speak at the meeting contact Julia Bates, the scrutiny support officer, on 01609 780780.
