WITH regard to the article headed 'Police stop 2,100 speeding motorists' (January 31), when will we see a similar report of how many cyclists have been caught cycling without lights, cycling through red lights, or on pavements and in pedestrian precincts?

Not long ago York police said they did not have the manpower to launch any operation to catch these offenders.

They found the manpower to catch the motorists - or is it simply because motorists can be easily identified by their registration numbers?

In no way do I condone speeding but cycling offenders can cause accidents as well.
