I am not particularly a York City fan (though I used to be a regular in the late 1960s) but I do keenly follow the results and always read match previews/reviews in the Evening Press to keep up with what's going on at Bootham Crescent.

However, I have detected a clear toning down of your enthusiasm for both the manager and the players over the last month or so.

Instead of reading about 'City stars or City aces' (whoever they were) I now just read of 'City midfield man' or 'City player'.

Also, we no longer hear the manager being described as 'City supremo' any more. He's been (rightly) relegated to 'City manager or City boss'.

So, keep your spirits up - the board will realise their mistake soon and replace the 'supremo' with someone who knows a little more about managing a football team.
