NEW Earswick Bowling Club's skipper, Glenn Waterworth, chipped out on 112 in a 6-3 win by the York Exhibition Hotel Group League division two leaders over Sun Inn 'B'.

Second placed Saddle had a fine 21 darter from Paul Cooper and a pairs maximum in an 8-1 at Groves, whose winner, Dave Atkin, also shot 180.

Swan's 4-3 lead was nullified by Mick Amos and John Holtby then Kev Pallister and Colin Hodges gave Green Tree 'A' the decider.

Pete Water checked bullseye but then saw his Institute 'A' side go down 5-4 to Slip, the match win sealed by Alan Ashby and Rich Robinson.

Dringhouses consolidated a division one top-four place by beating Shepherd 'B' 6-3. Pete Pearson shot out on 120 for the latter.

Shepherd 'A' won 7-2 at Osbaldwick. Steve Machen gamed in 20 for the home team while Mick Willsden responded in the same number.

Leaders Cygnet beat Acorn 7-2 which included 19 darts from Keith Turner and 20 by Dave Mason.

Poacher retained second place by beating Holgate 7-2. Colin Fowler opened procedings with 20 darts and Ray McInally was 180 scorer.

Green Tree 'B's team Gary Wensley followed up a splendid 16 darts with a pairs 180 while one of the two games taken by Lighthorseman was 21 darts from Jamie Byworth.

Trafalgar won a photo-finish with Flag. Kelvin Frankel registered 21 darts then Paul Kers, 20, before partnering Ron Simpson to get the decider.

All summer league applications should be made before Monday.
