YORK City were today seeking clarification over the £1million sale of England Under-21 international Curtis Woodhouse.
The Driffield-born midfielder finally completed his move from Sheffield United to Worthington Cup finalists Birmingham City - and that means a cash boost of between £30,000 and £50,000 for City
Woodhouse was a junior for several seasons at City's School of Excellence, but then he moved to Sheffield United four years ago.
As compensation York struck a deal with the Blades whereby they are entitled to percentage of any big-money transfer fee.
