YORK City supporters have called for another fans' forum to enable them to air their views.
It is understood the City Supporters' Club proposal will be discussed by the City directors at a board meeting on Thursday.
Raymond Wynn, secretary of the fans' group, is expecting a favourable response and insists the forum has not been called just because of City's poor run of form.
But he accepts the team's perilous position has given the fans' request added impetus.
"We would like a constructive discussion about the state of the club at this time," he admitted.
"Unfortunately, it is not a good one and it is perhaps worse than it was last year when we last called for a forum.
"The time has come now when results must be turned around dramatically.
"Recent results have been a disaster and although they played well against Chesterfield they need to play like that in every game to emerge from this crisis with dignity."
However, even if City were sitting at the top of Division Three Wynn insists the supporters' club would still be calling for a forum.
"We have got used to having these forums once a year and we think they work very well," he explained.
"It gives all supporters, not just members of the supporters' club, a chance to air their views and put their questions to the board and manager.
"We would still be calling for a forum even if things were okay - we don't just want this because things are going badly."
Wynn is confident the club will look favourably on the request and sees no reason why it cannot become a more definite feature in the City calendar.
"The club has always been co-operative and the previous forums have both been well attended and conducted," he said.
"No one was insulting and that is how we would like this one to go.
"It would be nice to have a forum when everything is going well but unfortunately it isn't at this time.
"We just hope there will be occasions in the future, and I am sure there will be, when things are going better and we will be able to say well done to the lads."
Last season's forum was staged little more than a month after Terry Dolan replaced Neil Thompson as City boss.
The season before saw the first two forums held, the second of which chairman Douglas Craig announced that Alan Little had been sacked with Thompson installed as caretaker boss.
The Evening Press can today confirm it will be soon staging a second Internet question and answer session, this time involving City chairman Douglas Craig.
