I WATCHED the memorial service on the holocaust followed by the movie Schindler's List on television.
The organisers of the service had the common sense not to invite John Major. That would have been the final insult to the thousands of Bosnian people alive and dead who were the victims of the Serbian holocaust. John Major knew what was going on and did nothing.
To Tony Blair and Jack Straw I say: if you are sincere in your condemnation of the holocaust of Bosnia what is stopping you arresting those butchers responsible for thousands of deaths? You know where Karadzic and you know where Milosevic is - why are they not on trial at the Hague?

...THE National Holocaust Memorial Day was the first to be organised in memory of all those who suffered the most horrific treatment at the hands of Nazis - now 56 years ago. Similar acts of atrocity are still seen in many countries in recent wars.
It is important that we never forget just how much these people suffered, and just how evil mankind can be.
Isn't it a shame therefore, that the Queen and Prince Philip could not have fond the time during their 'long' Christmas holiday to join in the Remembrance Service at Westminster Central Hall and thus show some compassion towards those who had been affected, either directly or indirectly, by these atrocities of war?
Instead they have only succeeded in offending them, and those of us who served our country in the Second World War.
