Ben Rydding VI's goalkeeper was sent off in their defeat by City of York VII - after throwing a stick at his own player, causing him to go to hospital.
Tom Duncan had put York 2-1 up when the 'keeper grabbed the scorer's stick and hurled it into his own net, hitting his own player who had gone to retrieve the ball on the head.
The player was taken to York District Hospital.
The 'keeper was carded for the remainder of the game, and York took full advantage to enjoy an 8-1 win after the visitors had opened the scoring.
Duncan then equalised and after Rydding had a man sin-binned Duncan struck again, after which the goalkeeper lost his cool. York then went on the rampage as Tom Duncan hit another two, Alistair Blacklee bagged a brace, and Tom Jolly and Clive Appleyard also netted.
