Haxby Town moved nine points clear at the top of division one with a 2-1 win over Barmby Moor but they were made to fight all the way, writes Colin Atkinson.
Jez Hansbro opened the scoring for Haxby after only 50 seconds and that goal remained the only score until Barmby equalised in the 85th minute when a Craig Goddard shot from 35 yards was completely mis-judged by the Haxby 'keeper.
Haxby bounced back and two minutes later Lee Tutill struck the winner from 25 yards.
Second-placed Nestl Rowntree dropped valuable points as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Thorpe United with John Alcock scoring the 'Trees goal.
Third-placed St John's College were beaten at home by Riccall. The students were two up after 15 minutes through Roger Osborne and Stefan Clifford.
Mark Westmoreland began the Riccall fight-back with a goal just before half-time and the visitors commanded the second half with Paul Brough (2) and Alan Jackson scoring without reply.
South Bank walloped Osbaldwick 6-1. Dave Watson opened the scoring for Osbaldwick but four goals from Nick Shaw and one apiece from Mark Willoughby and Simon Kehoe assured Bank's dominance.
The Rank brothers did all the scoring for division two leaders Stamford Bridge in their game at bottom of the table Hemingbrough.
Nick Rank opened the scoring but Aaron Kyle equalised from the penalty spot.
Jamie Rank put Stamford back in front but they were made to struggle against spirited opposition before brother Nick scored his second to take the points.
Haxby and Wigginton won 3-1 at home to White Horse.
Jamie Gibson scored from a corner to give the hosts a slender lead.
The visitors levelled after half-time, but a diving header from Danny Rhodes restored Haxby and Wigginton's lead and a cool lob over the 'keeper from substitute Alan Deaton ensured the points.
Andrew Metcalfe continued his scoring spree for Huby as they just edged out Norton United.
He netted twice and Rich Jennison added one more as they won 3-2.
Elsewhere the Heworth versus Poppleton and Copmanthorpe versus Hammerton games ended scoreless, but Poppleton were denied a vital two points by the Heworth 'keeper who made a magnificent first-half penalty save.
Hamilton Panthers still head division three after a narrow 2-1 victory over Selby RSSC with a goal from Matthew Wright in the first-half and a Mark Moor strike after the break.
T&L Selby are second with games in hand after beating struggling Grasshoppers 82 with goals from Chris Harkin and Simon Hewitt.
Jeff Poulton opened the scoring for Wheldrake at home to Rawcliffe Rangers, but the visitors responded with four to win convincingly.
