Giants: Citizen Kabuto, published by Interplay for PC
Giants: Citizen Kabuto is hard to categorise, as it is a sort of mix between a first-person shoot-em-up and a real-time strategy game.
In multi-player, you get to choose to play as one of three main races, the Meccs, Sea Reapers (Delphi) and the Giant Kabuto. Once you choose your race, you then take on others, building up your bases and wiping out the competition.
In the single-player mode, you play a more campaign-based game, you start off as the Meccs, a highly tech-based humanoid race that love shooting things up. Then you move on to the Sea Reapers - a more magical race - or more precisely Delphi, who is trying to stop her evil mother, the queen, from releasing the Giant Kabuto upon the world.
Finally, you control Kabuto in the hopes of destroying the original evil Giant Kabuto.
Be warned, though this game seems to be very much designed for the Geforce 2 Graphics Card. If you have an earlier card, such as a Voodoo 3, make sure you have all the latest drivers for it if you want the game to work.
The game's graphics are very impressive, as are the cut scenes, which are also very funny and entertaining. If you are looking for a fun game this year, then this is the one to buy.
