BUDDING young poet Laura Attridge, of Bishopthorpe, will see her work in print in the January edition of Young Writer magazine, the only national platform for all genres of writing by people aged 18 and under.
Laura, 12, a pupil at the Mount School in York, wrote an off-beat poem called Language, in which she addresses the many contradictions which are taken for granted in language, such as the apparent arbitrariness of naming things and the illogicality of multiple meanings for words.
