Staff at the World Of James Herriot Centre in Thirsk are hoping to revive the forgotten art of spring cleaning - 1940s style.
The centre is trying to recreate those days with projects and displays addressing life in the home of that era.
Staff are appealing for residents' memories of spring cleaning to build up their knowledge of social history.
