York and Ryedale Tigers Roller Hockey Club gained first-ever league win when they beat Lincoln Lightning Under 14s 2-1.
Lincoln led after five minutes but York levelled two minutes later with a well worked goal by Karl Davidson, assisted by the youngest player in the York team, Liam Casey.
A fine goal-tending performance by York's Alex Mitchell kept the score level until halfway through the third period when Davidson's shot was saved but Casey knocked in the rebound for his first competitive goal.
Casey won the man of the match award.
Lincoln Thunder Under 18s defeated their counterparts from York 5-4. York's goals came from Justin Curry, Dean Butterfield and captain James Odysseas (2), who scooped the man of the match award.
