Slingsby scored only their third win of the season in division one of the Beckett League to move above their opponents Sinnington.
Goals by Ian Whittaker (2) and Carl Biggins gave them a 3-2 win after being 2-1 down to goals by Dan Harland and Bobby Brewer. Whittaker netted the winner 10 minutes from time.
Jamie Wilkinson scored a hat-trick for Union Rovers in their 3-3 draw with Kirkbymoorside Reserves.
Edward Strickland put Kirkbymoorside ahead and then Wilkinson scored twice for Rovers.Strickland, returning on recovery from injury, equalised early in the second half. Wilkinson completed his hat-trick to put Union 3-2 up. Andrew Wilkinson scored nine minutes from the end to get Rovers a point.
