3rd Strike, Street Fighter 3, published by Virgin Interactive for Dreamcast
Capcom vs SNK, published by Virgin Interactive for Dreamcast
THESE two titles have curiously popped up at the same time. I say curiously, because both titles are pretty much the same, following the 2D martial arts formula that have long been led by the Street Fighter saga.
Street Fighter 3 offers some very pretty graphics, and some very neat backgrounds, like fighting in London in front of a coach and horses and a red telephone box. Capcom vs SNK, on the other hand, pits the Street Fighter crew against the characters from the King of Fighters series, with some neat tag team fighting.
However, neither title particularly advances the genre and it doesn't leave you gobsmacked in the way that Soul Calibur.
Overall 3/5 for each
