Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson is top of Sven-Goran Eriksson's hit parade.

According to Roberto Mancini, who resigned as Lazio's coach minutes after Eriksson, the new England boss rates Robinson top of the five England players who have impressed him most over the last few months. England Under 21 'keeper Robinson gave a superb display for Leeds in their 1-0 Champions League victory against Lazio in Rome's Olympic Stadium on December 5 and has kept Nigel Martyn on the bench since his recovery from a groin injury.

The other names to impress Erikkson are David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Emile Heskey and Kieron Dyer.

Meanwhile, Leeds' Republic of Ireland international Alan Maybury boosted his chances of a move from Leeds United with a 38th minute goal in the reserves' 4-1 defeat against Middlesbrough at Billingham last night .

Maybury had a month's loan at Crewe earlier in the season to help him regain full fitness after a broken leg last year and with little prospect of first team football at Leeds the Irishman is looking for a permanent move.

Alan Moore netted a hat-trick for Boro and striker Brian Deane scored against his old club.

'Keeper Nigel Martyn was at fault for the second Boro goal and defender Danny Hay limped off in the 78th minute with a pulled muscle.

Winger Jason Wilcox was also substituted, eleven minutes earlier. But the ex-Blackburn man is expected to be fit for Saturday's visit to Manchester City.
