The motorcyclist involved in this accident, in Doncaster Road, Selby, had to be taken to hospital after suffering leg injuries.
The driver of the Vauxhall Astra was uninjured following the accident at about 1.30pm yesterday near Brayton High School.
Paramedic Paul Brown was quickly on the scene to give assistance to an ambulance crew from Selby.
He said they put a cervical collar and spinal board on the motorcyclist to immobilise his body, before lifting him on to a bed and taking him to York District Hospital.
Police have not yet released the names of the people involved.
