York City's Football League Division Three match at Cheltenham Town tomorrow has been called off because of a frost-bound pitch.
The Whaddon Road playing surface failed an inspection at 2.30pm today after being affected by heavy overnight frost and some snow. The weather forecast did not offer much hope that the ground would thaw in time for tomorrow's scheduled 3pm kick off.
A new date for the fixture has not yet been arranged.
Meanwhile, City's New Year's Day match with Chesterfield at Bootham Crescent on Monday is also subject to a pitch inspection, which has been scheduled to take place on Sunday at 3pm.
